I'm sorry I keep dong this.

I've been having a really hard time lately, and I managed to land myself in the hospital. I can only use my laptop for a few minutes at a time and as I'll be here for awhile I won't really have much to post about. If I start feeling better soon I may put together some picture posts together from all the old stuff I have backed up. I won't blame anyone for unfollowing, though. Thanks guys, take care.

Games I'm excited about.

So back in August Zach and I went to pax prime, which just so happens to take place at the convention center. We went for all three days and we got to play a lot of different things.

Autumn Recipes: Ham and Cheese Croissants

Hello! I've decided to do a series of recipes to celebrate this season. Most of them are going to be pretty simple, and all of them are use at least a bit of what I learned in pastry school.

This recipe is something the bakery I did my externship at made that was very popular. They made it with homemade croissant dough that was used for all of the croissant products, but that's incredibly time consuming considering that you need to fold in all of the butter by hand. If you prefer to use handmade puff pastry that works too, but I used store bought dough which is actually just fine.

Things to come, what I've been up to.

I have a lot of things to catch up on, lot's of exciting things are happening and lots of fun things have happened. I've been really M.I.A. on this blog, but I'm recommitting to it and I'm going to post regularly as well as revamping the layout. I have been up to a lot and have a lot to post about.

I've been trying new foods (reviews and tutorials to come)

I attended a few cons (I will make a post about my most anticipated games and movies)

I won a giveaway (items to review, including lenses and lashes)

And I graduated! Supposedly there is a ceremony next month that I will be attending.
Also, I have officially become a fan of Doctor Who. I'm still on David Tennant right now, but I can't stop watching it on netflix. It's the first in several shows I plan to watch against better judgment. I hope everyone is well. I apologize for what I hope is the absolute last time for my absence. To be honest I haven't been feeling like myself lately and my mental health has been making a steady decline. I'm trying to get better, but this sort of thing is hard, so please don't hold it against me.

I will do my best to pick this blog out of the garbage and polish it up the best I can, so bear with me!

Thanks for reading ♥

Daiso Therapy.

Hello, you guys. I'm sorry about the giant gap between posts, I know I apologize to much for this, but hopefully I will be able to get in some regular posting through the rest of this year.

Anyway, I've been a little down lately. I had a really stressful last week of term and ended up eating so much that I gained around 7lbs/3kg. It made me really upset and I kept eating, but after a lot of emotional work I'm back on track and determined to finish. I plan to be around 135lbs/61kg by the end of August.

To help me lose weight I decided to get some smaller bowls and things to eat out of. This is a tactic I've always used, but the bowls I had were still a little big and quite honestly, if I get something cute I'm much more likely to use it. So I bought a few things.

Little soup bowls!
Aren't they cute? They're meant for miso soup (which I do enjoy from time to time) but I'm going to eat all of my meals out of them at home to regulate my portions better. The panda one says "I eat a lot" lol. I also got one more thing for my diet.

A smaller bento box!
It's meant for kids, but I was having some anxiety about eating lunch at work and stopped taking a lunch at all. I know I need to eat to keep up my metabolism, and I figured a smaller bento would ease my worries about eating/packing too much a bit. Oh, just so no one is confused, "work" is my unpaid externship (internship). I work in a little production kitchen mixing doughs, making croissants and buns, and filling macarons! I love it but it's very tiring.

I'm so so so sorry. I promise this blog isn't dead.

I've been really busy with school, I'm in my last term and scrambling to get my externship together. We've been working on some pretty big projects and I got sick again recently so I've really been struggling to keep up.

I haven't been doing very much makeup wise because I don't really go anywhere. I have some fun plans lined up for the summer, though, and hopefully after this term my schedule change will give me a little more freedom.

This class only has a few projects, since it's all about cake decorating and centerpieces. We've only done one project so far, and I missed a week of work on it, but I think it came out pretty nice.

An Adventure Time cake!
I'm really happy with it, especially considering that I only had about three days to get all the components together and make the figures and everything. I absolutely dreaded working with fondant but I got full points for the actual surface of the cake. I just wish that Finn's arms hadn't cracked and that I had more time for the side decoration. Points to whoever gets the reference.

I've been really into my health and weight loss, and I've been cooking and baking at home a lot. A few months ago I started a food journal to write down everything I eat and it's really helped me. I'm under 140lbs now and I'm excited to have more clothes in my closet to choose from.

Good things come to those who are impatient.

I woke up at 2:30pm today (night classes ftw), and my mom ran over and pointed to a box on the coffee table. My belt came less than a week after I ordered it. I was so excited. I opened the box, and immediately started freaking out because it was beautiful, but super, ultra short. I didn't unwrap it, knowing it wouldn't fit, and put it around my hips, where it had almost a foot long gap between ends. I got all sad and my mom said I should just sell it on eBay, but she then noticed that it appeared to be folded up in the plastic. She was right, and I am the definition of "derp". Anyway, it fits beautifully and I love it. I had an outfit ready to try it on with (because I'm an obsessive person) and I absolutely, positively am in love.
I cleaned my mirror, and then went downstairs to use my mom's lol.

My jacket was a gift that I originally wasn't that into and that didn't even fit. It's Ed Hardy but I can definitely imagine some outfits with it now. I'm really excited to put some coordinates together with this belt, despite my slapped on makeup and straight wig I really felt gal or the first time today.

Speaking of my wig, and I'll do a proper post for this when I get the chance, I have experienced some problem with it. The hooks on the cap broke and it frizzes way to easily. I have however been able to straighten it with a flat iron very easily and I'm sure that I can just sew a bra strap into it if I want. I usually pin it to my wig cap really well so I don't even really need the straps.

I don't really know what the style I'm doing is called. Is it just rokku? I don't know what it looks like the most, I love Ora-Ora, Kurogal, and Rokku so I don't really care what it looks like I guess. I think this outfit is a good start towards whatever it is that I'm doing. What do you guys think? Do I need to do something different?

Well, thanks for reading! Feel free to give me critiques ♥

Oh wait!

I also got my weave taken out. So you guys get to see my real hair for once.

Ok, for real this time. Thanks for reading! Bye ♥

My adventure with yumetenbo/dreamv.

The weather is getting warmer here, so I've started doing yard work for money again. I'm hoping to get my job/externship in the next month and a half but for now it's just odd jobs for me. Thankfully my mother and other family members like to overpay me so I'm able to save some and still provide myself with a little retail therapy.

I've been looking at multiple items at Dreamv for awhile, but as many people are aware of, the good stuff sells out very fast. It seems that if you want something you have to really be on it. I was first looking at some dresses in this style.

I'm really in love with these, but they are often sold out in my size, even in colors I don't want. This was originally what I was looking for, a hoodie dress with some sort of cute trim, but I kept my eyes open for other things. I'm glad I did because I spotted this.
a D.I.A. inspired belt!

What I've been up to.

I'm sorry for not updating in the past weeks, I had a very eventful break and then had to dive right back into school. I've been working on my makeup some more. During break I went to Emerald City Comic-Con and it was a really good time! We went to a ton of panels including The Phelps Twins (Fred and George Wesley), George Takei, Christopher Judge, and one for Adventure Time (which I love but unfortunately never get to watch). The exhibition room was also really cool, there were so many comic books and so much merchandise that it was actually a bit overwhelming. I don't have any photos from the actual con (because I'm easily distracted) but I do have some from my arch nemesis; The Cheesecake Factory. We went twice because it's across the street from the convention center.

My veggie burger.
His pasta.

I'm putting together my portfolio.

These pictures are all work that I have done either in school, or in my own home.

Summer is Coming!

I'm so excited! There are so many things I want to do and get for summer. All of my friends should be back in town, I should be working, and I'm working towards being healthy and slim so I can wear anything I want.

I've been working on my makeup a little more, since I can't do much clothes-wise right now. I figure that since I can't do everything I want with clothes yet I should just keep working on my hair and makeup. The other day I did a full face, and then just took the bottom lashes off for school and switched lenses. I think my makeup is getting much better!
lol, sorry. For some reason I felt this was the best picture. I don't think I take myself seriously enough.

Some plans for the next few months.

Hello, I'm sorry for the little break I had to take, I feel much better now and this post is going to be focused on this summer and fall. I'll be out of school and hopefully working in August, so I have a lot of plans. Some of them are just for fun and some are to help me get my life together.

This month I'm going around to different local bakeries to check them out because in about four months I have to do my externship. I would like it to be payed, and I would like to find somewhere that could turn into a more permanent position as opposed to just a six week run. I'm also thinking that I want to work in a place that does mostly breads and pastries instead of cakes. I hate cakes. I need to get better at cake assembly but I absolutely do not plan on building my career around them or near them if I can help it. I'm really liking my breads and viennoiserie class, I find bread making very calming and enjoyable. I have several places I need to check out, but I think I want to try a place nearby that I've had my eye on. So we'll just see.

Sorry for the lack of posts.

I'm pretty sick right now. I can't keep most food down and the foods I can give me stomach pains. I'm trying to wait it out but I may have to go to the doctor if it continues. I've lost two pounds since Tuesday, which would be awesome if it didn't concern me so much. I'll be back in full swing as soon as this clears up, definitely by this time next week but hopefully sooner. If I feel well enough I may do something simple like spam. If I get bored enough  I will definitely post since we're not allowed to go to school when we're vomiting (for obvious reasons).

So yeah, thanks for reading my little update. I appreciate it.

I like Rokku too much (SUPER IMAGE HEAVY)

I started to like gyaru again because of the sweet styles, but I can't help but feel attracted to more rokku styles. I don't know what exactly the style I want to do is called, but I can tell that it won't be sweet gyaru or gyaru-kei like I originally planned. Plus I have so many things from when I was into gothic lolita (a very short, expensive phase), I keep finding them and remembering how much I love them. Sweet styles are great, I really do love them, but I think that rokku is where my heart is. It's not like rokku can't also be cute, right? My current style ispiration is Risa. She doesn't really put herself in a box with her style, it seems very fluid and stays really cute no matter what.

I've been looking at clothes on Rakuten, because I think my wardrobe is really far behind when it comes to any other gyaru improvement I've made. It's what made me realize how I want to dress, I tried looking at cutesy stuff but it just doesn't appeal to me as much.

Clair Beauty Wig Review!

Hello! Today my post is going to be an in-depth review of my brand new wig from Clair Beauty. These wigs can be purchased on yesstyle where what seems to be their whole catalog is available, but they can also be found on eBay being for much less. I'm not sure about every seller, of course, but I did purchase my wig from this shop and I am very happy with my product and the delivery.

Dates are my favorite thing.

Hello, this post will be pretty image heavy. My term just ended and I absolutely hated this class, so I've been really stressed and busy. I'm really trying not to neglect this blog, but time keeps slipping away from me. Anyway, the boyfriend and I have been going out a lot, I think because he knew how much I was struggling with this last term. We went to see Chronicle, which was amazing, went to see Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace in 3D, which I did not care for, and of course we went out for Valentine's Day!

For the first two dates I actually did my makeup as full-out as possible, but on V-day since it was sort of just an "us" day I went simple.
My skin has been awful lately, I think because of the stress.
At some point during our date binge, we finally tried the Japanese style crepe stand in our mall. Now we're addicted to UniCone. Originally, when we went to see Star Wars we were just going on a crepe run, but Zach really wanted to see it so I caved.

I'm not sure how common these stands are, apparently they're gaining some popularity.

Guess what came in the mail!

My wig! I promised not to talk about it anymore until I actually got it, so here's my post. I ended up going for a completely different wig from what I originally planned, I got some really mixed reviews and personal account related to Gothic Lolita wigs, they took forever to restock, and I decided that I could probably find a wig that would go better with my style that was cheaper without sacrificing quality.
I checked out a Clair Beauty seller on eBay and decided this wig would be perfect for me.

I found a lot of good reviews for not only Clair Beauty, but this specific eBay seller, so I gave it a shot. The shipping was economy so the seller said that it would take up to two weeks, but surprisingly it only took about eight days to get here. I had to sign for it, since it was shipped from Taiwan, but since I take night classes it was fine.

I got a job!

Well, not really. I've been working really hard, and struggling a bit at school but I decided I just need to bake more so I feel more comfortable. As a result of that, I've decided to horde spare cake bits to make cake pops, and my mom told one of her co-workers who wants to buy some from me for her son's class bakesale!

I'm a little intimidated, but cake pops are easy enough to make and it's a bit of a long term job and it will  be good practice for the future. Not to mention I love making this sort of thing and I love making things for kids! The first date I need them for is February 10th. I was already going to make cake pops for my boyfriend, so I'll make the same Valentine's day themed ones for the bakesale, too. There are six dates she wants pops for and I'm going to make 2 dozen for each one, so that's 144 total. I'm really excited and I'm working on planning the themes for each week including Easter (it's a Christian private school). This weekend I'm going to go price my materials (sticks, candy melts, styrafoam, delivery boxes) so I know how much to charge.

New Years Resolutions.

I know I'm a bit late, but I decided to make a list of resolutions for this year. I originally planned not to make any, because no one ever keeps them (including me). But that's negative, and that kind of thinking isn't going to get me anywhere. So here is my list.

1. Lose weight. There's nothing wrong with my weight now, I look ok, but who wants to look "ok?". I don't work out and I barely watch what I eat so I know that I can lose weight if I try. I have a large frame size and I'm 5'5"/165cm, so I'm actually already at my "ideal weight" but I decided that my ultimate goal weight is 135lbs/61kg. I haven't decided on a time frame yet, but currently I weigh around 155lbs/70kg so I have around 20lbs/9kg to lose. I've already cut down my caloric intake to between 1000 and 1500 a day and started a one hour morning workout, so I hope to start seeing some results soon!

2. Be neater. I am an extremely messy, sloppy, person. My room is disgusting and I have a very hard time getting organized. So I'm going to clean my room once a week and tidy every morning before I got to school.
3. Spend more time on my appearance. I think I mentioned this in my previous post, I leave the house with something just thrown on way too often. When I step out of my front door I better look great or be wearing a chef's coat.

4. Learn how to cook more meals. Since I stopped eating meat over three years ago by diet has felt very limited. I eat the same things over and over again unless I go out, and that just seems silly since I consider myself to be very good at cooking. I want to expand my repertoire.

5. Be positive. I'm not as negative as I used to be, but I still get really down on myself sometimes. I think that needs to stop since it's not productive. Plus, if I do the best I can when I have something to do, there will be no reason for me to feel bad about it.

I've already started and I'm determined to work on these things as I think they will help me be a more well rounded person. I feel a little one dimensional right now, which is really not ok with me.

Date Night Pictures!

Hello! This is mostly an excuse to post pictures, so bear with me!
About a week ago my boyfriend and I went out for date night, and since we hadn't been out in awhile and he picked the movie he treated me to sushi. The mall we like has two sushi places; a cute little booth with set meals called Sushi Itto Go, and a conveyor belt style one called Blue C Sushi. We'd tried Sushi Itto Go already, and I hadn't been to the other kind of place in awhile so we went to Blue C Sushi, it was really nice!

We ordered a couple of things fresh since it was later in the night. So this is Zach's seared tuna, it looked so good.
My tofu rolls. The tofu was cooked just right!

I think I'm starting to get it.

Hello there!
I haven't really been working much on my makeup skills, like at all. Lately I've been stressing over my wardrobe, my hair, and my lack of outings to go to. They're excuses, really. I have great friends who will hang out as long as they have the time, I just revamped my wardrobe, and I have a hair piece coming my way in about two weeks. There's absolutely no reason for me not to work on my makeup, it's important, it's fun, and I'm not that bad at it.

I've been studying a lot of different tutorials, scans, and promos, and I think I've made some vast improvement from when I started. I hadn't done much more than slapping on lashes recently, but I got really bored today and did my makeup for sheer practice purposes. Literally, once I was satisfied with it, I went back downstairs to wash it off. But it was really satisfying and I'm starting to actually see the gal influence in my makeup.
Anyway, on to the pictures. We'll start with my first attempt which was in the summer.
Not bad, right? Not very gyaru, though.
